A notebook entry can be a direct observation, a hunch, a broken setup, or a question that deserves a test. We label those things so a good story doesn’t quietly turn into a result.

27 SEP 2026 / LAB UPDATE

The bench works. The research is still ahead.

Observation: The September 26 records document a successful GPU computation check and nine exact responses from the first local model apparatus check. The experiment registry now contains 90 distinct IDs, with protocol drafts for all 90.

Inference: We have a working reference setup for that bounded test. We can now plan controlled pilots around it.

Unknown: Sustained performance, larger-model behavior, and whether the proposed research effects survive controlled replication.

Preflight inventory and reference identity checks are recorded as verified. The next planning step is to set storage, runtime, and cost budgets; the broader readiness gate has not passed.
